Grassy Waters Preserve Trail System Update

(July 2, 2020) The Grassy Waters Preserve Trail System is open to visitors daily. The Hog Hammock Trail, Eagle Trail, and Owahee Trail systems are open. The Apoxee Trail, under renovation, Cypress Boardwalk Trail, and Nature Center remain closed.
Visitors may access the Hog Hammock and Eagle Trail Systems at the Watershed Management Entrance, 8537 Northlake Blvd. The Hog Hammock and Eagle trails are open daily from 8:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Visitors may access the Owahee Trail system from the Apoxee entrance, 3125 Jog Rd, and the 45th Street entrance. The Owahee Trail is open sunrise to sunset.
The trails offer hiking, biking, wildlife viewing and bird watching. Great Horned Owls, Bobcat, White-tailed deer, Raccoon, Armadillo, Possum, Alligators, and other wetland-dependent species may be seen by visitors.
Visitors should follow CDC guidelines and local orders.
