GWC 2020 ANNUAL MEETING SUMMARY

(December 12, 2020) Below for your information, is a summary of the 2020 Conservancy Annual Meeting.  2020 has been a difficult year for all of us, we hope you and your family are doing well, we thank you for your support, and look forward to a better 2021.  If you have any questions or suggestions please reach out to us at [email protected].

Grassy Waters Conservancy remotely held its Annual meeting using Zoom, on Tuesday, November 17, 2020.

At the meeting the Directors, Officers, and Advisory and Honorary Members were elected for 2021.  Scott Kelly was reelected Director and President, and Steve Scherer Director and Senior Vice President. The complete list with background statements has been updated on the Conservancy website www.grassywaters.org, under “About, Team Members”.

The Directors discussed the Corona Virus, our education and intern programs, and photography activities and photo contest. They approved a motion for Scott and Steve in 2021, to lead increased activity on Grassy Waters advocacy and outreach supporting, promoting and protecting the Preserve.  The Directors also agreed to use all funds raised from memberships to support our intern programs.

Related to the increased outreach activities some current responsibilities have been expanded.  Naomi D’Alessio , Ph.D Director and Vice President Education will also take the lead on Conservancy coordination with the Preserve Nature Center; and Richard Stone Director and Vice President Photography will take the full lead on all Conservancy photography activities.
