Ms. Courtney Johnson-Woods, New Communications Coordinator

(February 16, 2021) The Conservancy is pleased to announce that Ms. Courtney Johnson-Woods, is our new Communications Coordinator. Ms. Johnson-Woods is a faculty member in the Department of Communication, Media & Design, at Clarkson University, Potsdam, NY. Her research focus is in communication/public participation in place-based water resources decision-making, advocacy, and sustainability. Clarkson is a private, national research university and proven leader in technological education and sustainable economic development.

Since mid 2020 Clarkson interns have played key roles in Conservancy website, email and social media communications. Working with Ms. Johnson-Woods, we look to build on and expand our activities with Clarkson. Education is a key Conservancy mission and our intern programs are integral part of achieving that goal. Late in 2020 the Conservancy Board announced that all funds raised from membership will be used to support our intern programs.
